BIO

Havana, Cuba, 1983.

Cuban artist based in Madrid. Her childhood is spent in Havana surrounded by sports, the sea and women with character: great pillars that influence her artistic work. After suffering an injury that prevents her from continuing her career as the leading figure in Cuban female kitesurfing, she changes her place of residence to Spain and finds her refuge in art.

Since 2015 she has been experimenting with jewelry as a creative medium. The search for materials, the work with the form, and a thorough reading of artistic movements and avant-gardes, allowed him to assemble these registers and create Asymmetrical, a collection of jewelry inspired by Cuban concrete art. The collection was showcased in the international gallery, based in Havana, El Apartamento.

She has participated in the Havana Biennial, the Contemporary Goldsmith and Jewelry Show at Feria Arco, and has held individual exhibitions in both Havana and Madrid.

In his artistic journey, work and life are intimately intertwined in a system of mutually nourishing relationships, love affairs, the course of life, the passage of time, the body in that process, moods, feelings and emotions.
