Laura Lis is a show of strength, resilience and ambition.

Since her childhood in Cuba, Laura Lis has been closely related to art and sports; two disciplines that provide the values of optimism, creativity and perseverance. As the first figure of Cuban female Kitesurfing, she finds herself in the situation of having to change the course of her life after an injury.

She finds refuge in art, drawing inspiration from the artistic expressions and cultures of her hometown of Havana, and her constant visits and seasons in Madrid. She is attracted by currents such as kinetic, concrete and abstract art, which leads her to start collaborating with the Cuban Art Foundation.

In 2015 she takes the step from observer to creator, seeking through art a communication that sensitizes the human being. Through art, she tries to give visibility to issues such as the identity of women, mental health, equality or the care of our planet.
